Hosting
Secure and reliable deployment options

Nowadays, our solutions are no longer dependent on time or place. For example, you can access services when you are not in the office but in your home office or on the road. In addition to the flexibility gained, it also yields some dangers and dependencies. Much depends solely on how the solution is provided and what possibilities exist in the company. In their own data center or in the cloud – that’s what many companies ask themselves nowadays. In this article, we will briefly introduce three deployment options for hosting your solution and discuss the advantages and disadvantages (pros & cons) of each.

On Premise

On Premise

Since the beginning of information technology, installing the solution on the customer’s premises has been a secure and reliable way of actively shaping decisions on versions, access and also on security mechanisms.

The data remains within the customer’s data center and he has the sovereignty. Also in terms of further development and integration, this option is usually the most flexible when it comes to connecting other services within the organization.

Private Cloud

Private Cloud

The private cloud refers to a hosting option, in an environment created specifically for the customer outside the corporate data center. Here the customer remains master of the data, just like when installing on his own server.

The difference is that the server is usually rented and the customer pays a monthly fee for the basic supply of electricity, water and cooling.

Public Cloud

Public Cloud

The public cloud offers the possibility to use the software completely without an own data center contract – mostly operated directly by the manufacturer.

In contrast to the private cloud, however, the customer cannot directly access the stored data here and is usually bound by the manufacturer’s specifications for versions. Integration into other solutions that do not run in the cloud but in the data center is usually more complex than with other solutions.
